Royal Military School of Music

Works undertaken

European Asbestos Services were commissioned in 2010 2011, by The Royal Military School of Music (Twickenham) to undertake removal of previously identified asbestos thermal insulation materials and debris to Museum stores and under croft areas, prior to planned refurbishment works.

This involved the clearance of personnel to work in highly secure areas and was undertaken over a period of 9 planned phases, which all had to be completed on-time to allow follow on contractors to undertake their remedial works.

As well as the removal of insulation materials, decontamination of sensitive museum artefacts was undertaken. This involved the close liaison with the client and museum staff for the handling and logging of all artefacts during the cleaning process.

Our ability to meet the clients exacting requirements (with particular reference to the handling of sensitive museum artefacts) and our experienced and skilled managerial and workforce, enabled us to complete this project on-time and within budget
