Control / Remedial Measures
Once Asbestos has been identified by survey and its potential hazard assessed, then appropriate control or remedial measures can be determined. These would generally fall into one of the following categories:
Sealing and Repair
If Asbestos material has been identified as being or becoming slightly damaged or unsealed, it shall be repaired, encapsulated and labelled with inspections on condition regularly.
Removal
If the Asbestos material has been identified as being badly damaged or likely to be disturbed by planned maintenance, refurbishment or demolition works, then it is generally removed.
Management
