Legal Obligations
Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, there is a fundamental requirement for an employer to provide a safe working environment to employees. There is also a duty of care to manage Asbestos under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, along with a duty to manage asbestos.
