Sprayed asbestos coatings

Sprayed asbestos, commonly known as Limpet or Flock Insulation, was used extensively throughout the 1960s and early 1970s and can contain up to 85% asbestos fibre.

This type of asbestos can be very vulnerable to impact damage, water penetration and it will deteriorate with age.

This means that there is a high risk that fibres will be released from the insulation, and it is therefore a considerable risk.

It was typically used in:-

  • Steel and concrete beams
  • Ceilings
  • Walls
  • Internal roofs
  • Soffits

People who are regularly in the area of these products have a high risk of exposure to asbestos. Please contact us to discuss how we can help you measure the risk and solve the problems.
