Asbestos Surveys

European Asbestos Services operate a Consultancy Division, offering comprehensive advice covering all aspects of Asbestos, its potential hazard and recommendations.

Our surveyors will also undertake the assessment of any site, from standard domestic premises through to large office blocks and factories. Three types of surveys can be carried out:

Type One

A visual examination of a site to determine

a) whether Asbestos is likely to be present
b) a review of the locations of any Asbestos

Type Two

A non-destructive survey to determine

a) the type of Asbestos
b) the location and extent

A full report of our findings is issued to the client, including an assessment of the potential hazard, and recommendations for removal, encapsulation or management.

Type Three

A destructive survey to determine

a) the type of Asbestos
b) the location and extent

Registers

A full report of our findings is issued to the client, including an assessment of the potential hazard, and recommendations for removal prior to major works or demolition.

Once a survey has been completed a Register showing all Asbestos locations, types, extent, condition and risk categories, will be compiled. This Register should be made available to all employees or persons who are liable to come into contact with the Asbestos.

It is a requirement under the Control of Asbestos at Work and also the construction (Design and Management) Regulations that before commencing work, the employer must identify the type of Asbestos or hazards likely to affect the work to be carried out.

European Asbestos Services are UKAS Accredited for Asbestos Surveying, Sampling and Bulk analysis of material.
