European Asbestos Services (EAS) is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the SVLG Social Value Award 2025 for Best Sustainability Initiative. Nominated by Southern Housing, this award formally recognises the exceptional environment and community impact delivered through our contribution to work on the Northbourne Community Garden project and other Southern Housing Initiatives.
This achievement reflects our continued commitment to embedding sustainability, biodiversity enhancement, and circular economy principles into every aspect of our service delivery. Through close collaboration with the Northbourne Community Action Group, we successfully transformed an underused outdoor area into a vibrant, wildlife-friendly community garden that supports pollinators, increases biodiversity, and provides lasting environmental benefits for residents living in one of Southern Housing’s most deprived neighbourhoods.
Winning this award is a testament to the strong partnership between EAS, Southern Housing, and the dedicated volunteers who helped shape the project. It demonstrates how targeted investment, thoughtful ecological design, and resident engagement can deliver meaningful, measurable change for both communities and the natural environment.
