Asbestos Removal & Compliance Services

2019–2025 (Renewed in 2025 for a Further 4 Years)
European Asbestos Services has been the trusted asbestos removal partner for Derby Homes since 2019, delivering safe and compliant asbestos abatement across their diverse housing stock. Initially appointed as the sole provider for a five-year term, our performance, reliability and strong resident feedback led to Derby Homes awarding us a new further four-year contract in November 2025.
Derby Homes manages a large portfolio of general needs housing, multi-storey blocks, sheltered accommodation and voids that require rapid turnaround. Our role is to provide a full asbestos removal service across both occupied and unoccupied properties, responding to everything from small reactive works to complex multi-property programmes. We undertake all licensed, notifiable non-licensed and non-licensed works including AIB removal, textured coatings, floor tiles, cement sheeting, flues, roofline components and asbestos-containing fixtures.
A key strength of the partnership is our ability to support Derby Homes with emergency incidents. We always operate a 24/7 service with a Duty Manager on call, enabling us to attend high-risk events such as accidental disturbance or ACM damage within one hour. This rapid response ensures tenant safety, prevents escalation and supports Derby Homes’ responsibilities as a landlord.
We manage the entire process digitally through EASiHUB, our real-time compliance system. All documentation RAMS, site diaries, photographs, NPU checks, waste consignment notes and clearance certificates is captured via handheld tablets and instantly uploaded. This gives Derby Homes immediate access to a full audit trail for every job and has significantly improved the speed and accuracy of compliance verification, particularly during void handovers.
Resident care is a central part of the contract. Many Derby Homes tenants include vulnerable households, older residents and families with specific support needs. Our teams communicate clearly, adapt to individual requirements, and maintain safe access throughout works. Operatives provide reassurance on arrival, explain the safety measures in place, and ensure homes are clean and ready for use once works are complete. Consistently positive feedback reflects our respectful, professional approach to working in people’s homes.
Over the course of the partnership, we have delivered several challenging projects in communal areas and multi-storey buildings, requiring careful sequencing and enhanced communication to keep residents safe while maintaining essential access routes. Our controlled methodology, strong enclosure standards and rigorous air monitoring have enabled these works to be completed with minimal disruption.
Since 2019, EAS has proven itself a reliable, highly competent and resident-focused partner for Derby Homes. Our re-appointment in 2025 reflects the confidence Derby Homes has in our technical capabilities, compliance processes and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality asbestos removal services across the city. KPIs are delivered via automated Power Bi systems via a shared portal with updates every 24hr period.
