European Asbestos Services were appointed sole provider for asbestos remediation at the world leading research and innovation sites at Harwell and Chilbolton in 2019 for a 5 year period.
The site consists of a complete range of building types from office accommodation, laboratories and industrial buildings. Typical remediations works are very wide and varied from working within subterranean tunnel systems (confined space working ) to high level ( 12m) pipe insulation work from bespoke built scaffold insulations, plant/turbine areas and external facades.
The contract requires a high degree of planning as expected working within a high security site carrying out ground breaking research to ensure no disruption to critical infrastructure.
